Lottery Ticket Worth $1 Million Sold In New Jersey
The jackpot is still up for grabs and will increase to $262 million for Tuesday's drawing.
NEW JERSEY — A Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold Friday in New Jersey, though lottery officials have not yet said where in the state it was purchased.
The Mega Millions winning numbers for Friday were 1 - 9 - 16 - 17 - 30, with a Megaball of 17 and 2x Megaplier. The lucky $1 million winner in New Jersey matched all five white ball numbers, only missing the Megaball, according to officials.
The jackpot is still up for grabs and will increase to $262 million for Tuesday's drawing.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. ET.
Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one gold Mega Ball is drawn from 1 through 25. You win if the numbers on one row of your ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.

If no one wins the jackpot, the money is added to the total for the next drawing.
The jackpot was last won in December, when a gas station in Encino, California sold two tickets that each hit the jackpot for a Mega Millions drawing of $394 million.
The two lucky players split their winnings.
