Missing NJ 16-Year-Old, Infant Sought By Human Trafficking Unit

VINELAND, NJ — Police are seeking the public's help in finding a missing 16-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy from Vineland who are believed to be traveling to Philadelphia.

Akera Johns, 16, and Hakeem Hintzen, 1, were last seen at the Cumberland Family Shelter on Mays Landing Road in Vineland around 3 p.m. Saturday, police said. The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons and Human Trafficking Unit and the Vineland Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to bring them home.

Police describe Johns as a Black female who stands 5'10" tall and weighs around 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Hakeem is described as a Black male standing around two feet tall and weighing approximately 35 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
