More NJ Sephora Locations To Open Inside Kohl’s Stores

NEW JERSEY - Garden State beauty fans, rejoice: a string of new Sephora shops is set to open inside New Jersey Kohl’s department stores before 2022 comes to an end.

Three new beauty counters in East Brunswick, Toms River and Newton opened on June 10.

Seven more shops are anticipated to open later this year, with opening dates to be announced. The new stores will have locations in:

• Flemington (325 Route 202)
• Ledgewood (275 Roue 10 E.)
• Mantua (300 Bridgeton Pike)
• Marlton (301 Route 70 W.)
• Morris Plains (1711 Route 10)
• South Plainfield (4971 Stelton Rd.)
• Westampton (2703 Route 541)

There are already over a dozen Sephora locations inside New Jersey Kohl’s stores, with sites in Holmdel, Manahawkin, Middletown, Cherry Hill, Clifton, Howell, Hillsborough, Secaucus, Wayne, Hamilton and more.

The 2,500-square-foot "fully immersive beauty experience" will open near the front of the stores, staffed by Sephora-trained beauty advisers offering personalized beauty consultations and product help, as well as free testing and sampling of products.

"We're thrilled to be bringing Sephora at Kohl's closer to millions more of our customers nationwide through this 400 store expansion," Doug Howe, Kohl's chief merchandising officer said in a press statement.

The new stores come amid news of Vitamin Shoppe owner Franchise Group in exclusive talks with Kohl's to purchase the department store brand. The three-week period of exclusive talks could see Franchise Group purchase the department store chain for $60 per share, or $8 billion in total. There are currently 38 Kohl’s stores in New Jersey. Since the partnership began in 2020 to “draw new and younger customers,” Kohls.com has carried Sephora make-up and products online.
