National Retailer To Close All NJ Locations: Reports

A clothing retailer with a presence in 45 states is reportedly planning to shutter all its locations and liquidate its inventory.

The popular clothing chain Francesca’s is preparing to close all of its 450+ locations after over 25 years in business, according to reports.

The women’s boutique known for selling clothing, jewelry, accessories and gifts is in the process of liquidating all of its inventory and will close soon, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

News of Francesca’s closing comes after the chain filed for bankruptcy in 2020.

At that time, the Houston-based chain had about 700 stores and announced 140 locations would close, USA Today reported.

After the company started in 1999, it’s since grown to over 450 boutiques in 45 states. Francesca’s also has over 3,400 employees.

Francesca's has not publicly confirmed the closing. Currently, its online store is advertising sales of 20 percent off.

The company also said on its website that as of Jan. 14, all sales are final.
