New Businesses In NJ: A Guide To Some New Summer Hot Spots
Markets, clothing stores and a variety of other businesses are opening or have recently opened throughout the Garden State. Here's a guide.
NEW JERSEY — As the weather in New Jersey begins to warm up, residents may want to go out to eat, shop and explore.
Whether you're looking for a new coffee shop hangout or a vintage clothing store, here's a list of all newly opened or soon-to-open businesses in the Garden State.
Clothing/Accessories
- Ave Lumi (9 Jay St, Tenafly): Ave Lumi, a sustainable clothing store from Brooklyn, NY, is new to the area and has firsthand knowledge that its suppliers are committed to fair-labor and sustainable materials.
- Envy by Melissa Gorga ( 7 E Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood): Envy by Melissa Gorga confirmed earlier this year that the fashion boutique was relocating to the Bergen County town. The move came after founder and Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga celebrated the sixth anniversary of her namesake store in Montclair.
- Marshalls ( 465 Route 46 west, Totowa): Marshalls is a discount department store that sells clothing and a variety of products for men, women and children, as well as home decor.
Gym/Recreation
- StretchLab (412 Springfield Avenue, Summit): The Summit location features eight benches where clients work through a customized stretching routine in sessions that last 25 to 50 minutes.
- Big Blue Swim School (240 NJ-17 N, Paramus): This summer, the swim school chain opened a location in Paramus, just in time for your child to sign up for a free trial swim class. Children as young as three months old can participate.
- Spidey's House (33 Greenwood Ave, Montclair): This kickboxing gym offers private lessons as well as group classes on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Restaurants
- B Prime (1 Borgata Way, Atlantic City): The minds behind MGM Resorts in Las Vegas and New York have created a new steakhouse concept that will bring an eclectic menu to the Jersey Shore. B Prime, led by executive chef Howard Stilianessis, opened its doors to visitors this week at the Borgata Hotel & Casino.
- Stack Creamery (48 Washington Street, Morristown): A shop selling highly customizable ice cream sandwiches made entirely from homemade ingredients will be opening this summer in the heart of Morristown.
- The Food Hall (1 American Dream Wy, East Rutherford): Later this summer, American Dream is set to open The Food Hall, a go-to dining destination that will feature seven new fast-casual options, soft seating and oversized games.
- True Food Kitchen (55 Parsonage Rd, Edison): The award-winning seasonally-inspired restaurant and craft bar is opening a new location in Edison later this year.
- Kung Fu Tea ( 88 Summit Avenue, Summit): Kung Fu Tea offers a variety of milk teas, fruity punch teas, slushies, coffees and more. The store also offers gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and caffeine-free options for those who have dietary restrictions.
- Bako's Pizza (205 Washington St., Boonton): Bako's serves pizza as well as other traditional pizzeria items, such as cheesesteaks, gyros, subs, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and more.
