NJ Employees Nap At Work More Than Most Others, Ranking Says

A new survey revealed the Garden State ranked in the top 3 when it came to workers taking a snooze on the job.

NEW JERSEY — New Jersey workers are more likely to catch a nap at work than employees in most U.S. states, according to a recent ranking.

A survey conducted by online mattress retailer Mattress Next Day revealed the Garden State ranks No. 3 when it comes to workers taking a snooze on the job, according to the company and additional information obtained by WSJO.

To determine where workers nap the most, Mattress Next Day surveyed 1,500 employed adults, according to their website.

Employees in Kentucky have the hardest time staying awake at work, WSJO reported. Ranking at No. 1, nearly 50 percent of employees in The Bluegrass State admit to taking a nap while on the clock.

Oklahoma came in at No. 2, and Nevada and California rounded out the top five, according to WSJO.

Nationwide, more than 1 in 4 survey respondents admitted to napping 2-3 times for week, according to the ranking. About 17 percent reported napping every day.

The ranking also revealed that 26 percent of survey respondents had been caught napping at work.

While a majority felt guilty about napping at work, nearly all employees Americans said they felt more productive after a little snooze.
