At least 16 people were injured, according to authorities.

HINGHAM, MA — An SUV crashed through the window of an Apple Store in Hingham on Monday morning, leaving one person dead and at least 16 injured, according to authorities.
The man who died was identified as Kevin Bradley, 65, of New Jersey.
The incident occurred about 10:45 a.m., when first responders received multiple 911 calls from the Derby Street Shoppes, where the store is located, officials said mid-day Monday at a press conference live-streamed by Boston 25 News.

“This morning was an unthinkable morning and people are trying to get through it and process what happened,” Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said.
A 2019 Toyota 4Runner hit a plate-glass window, traveling into the store, striking multiple people, and pinning some against a wall, according to authorities. An “active criminal investigation” is ongoing, Cruz said, clarifying that the driver was with police.

"I saw like a big car," one witness told NBC 10 Boston. "A lot of people were running. I guess someone called 911 ... I don't understand how someone drives that fast around here."
The incident required a response from numerous agencies, according to Hingham Fire Chief Steve Murphy, who said 14 ambulances and seven engines were on-scene and that bystanders helped render aid. The surviving 16 patients who required hospital transportation suffered varying levels of traumatic injuries, according to a news release from Cruz's office.
A building commissioner was called to the scene, but there were no concerns about the stability of the structure, according to Murphy.
