NJ Tractor Trailer Fire, Downed Highway Wires: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Monday, June 27, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 8:33 a.m., there's an overturned dump truck on US 46 eastbound west of I-287 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township. All lanes closed.

As of 8:03 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound north of Exit 147 - Clinton Avenue in East Orange. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 7:03 a.m., there are delays on the New Jersey Turnpike - Eastern Spur outside exit Interchange 16E - NJ 3/Lincoln Tunnel in Secaucus due to volume.

As of 6:12 a.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge upper-level westbound Upper Trans Manhattan Expressway in Manhattan. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 6:04 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge lower and upper levels eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. The travel time is 20 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

As of 12:35 a.m. there's construction on I-280 eastbound ramp from Exit 7 - Pleasant Valley Way/CR 636 in West Orange. All lanes closed and detoured until 3 p.m. on July 16.

Central Jersey

As of 8:19 a.m., there's a large white patio umbrella on US 1 southbound south of Raymond Road in South Brunswick. All lanes and both shoulders open.

As of 6:15 a.m., there's a tractor trailer fire on I-287 southbound north of Exit 14 - US 22 in Bridgewater. 1 right lane closed.

As of 6:14 a.m., there's construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

South Jersey

As of 4:20 a.m., there's a downed pole and downed wires on NJ 47 in both directions between NJ 83 and CR 657/Beaver Dam Road in Dennis Township. All lanes closed and detoured.

Transit Updates

Montclair-Boonton train #1150, the 6:22 a.m. Suffern departure will operate today.

Morris and Essex train #6602, the 5:44 a.m. PSNY arrival is up to 30 min late due to mechanical issues near Morristown.

Princeton Shuttle (Dinky) service has resumed in both directions following earlier mechanical issues.

Bus route 1, the 7:13 a.m. from Ivy Hill Loop (Mt. Vernon Pl.) to River Terminal (Central Ave.) will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 1, the 6:15 a.m. from Euclid Ave. at Lockwood St to Ivy Hill Loop (Mt. Vernon Pl.) will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 76, the 7:48 a.m. from Bus Lanes (Raymond Blvd. side) to Hackensack Bus Terminal. will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 76, the 6:54 a.m. from Rutherford Rail Station to Bus Lanes (Raymond Blvd. side) will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 99, the 7:57 a.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral to Lyons Ave. at Osborne Terr will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 99, the 7:10 a.m. from Lyons Ave. at Osborne Terr to Sacred Heart Cathedral will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 99, the 7:12 a.m. from Hillside to Branch Brook Park Station will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 99, the 5:56 a.m. from Belleville to Hillside will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 99, the 6:47 a.m. from Belleville to Hillside will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 606, the 6:30 a.m. from Hamilton Marketplace to Princeton Care Center.. will not operate today due to operator availability.

Bus route 606, the 4:51 a.m. from Princeton Shopping Center to Hamilton Marketplace will not operate today due to operator availability.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect rounds of thunderstorms, 20 mph wind gusts and heavy rain throughout the day until 8 p.m.
