NJ Transit Trains Canceled, Turnpike Delays: Patch PM Traffic Digest

NEW JERSEY — Good afternoon, New Jersey! Here's what you need to know before you leave for the Tuesday evening commute.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 4:15 p.m., there are delays on the New Jersey Turnpike inner roadway southbound from North of Interchange 13A - Newark Liberty International Airport/US 1&9 in Elizabeth to South of Interchange 13 - I-278/Goethals Bridge in Linden. All lanes open. 3-mile delay, due to volume.

As of 3:58 p.m., there are delays on I-280 westbound from East of Exit 16E - Essex St in Harrison to Exit 13 - Orange St/1st St in Newark. Current travel time is 10-15 minutes.

Central Jersey

As of 4:52 p.m., there's a watermain break on NJ 35 southbound North of CR 604/Green St in Woodbridge Twp. All lanes closed, 2-way traffic on northbound roadway.

As of 4:35 p.m., there's a debris on the Garden State Parkway southbound from North of Toms River Toll Plaza to North of Exit 83 - US 9 North in Toms River Twp. All lanes 1-mile delay due to volume.

As of 4:02 p.m., there are delays on US 9 southbound from CR 547/8th St in Lakewood Twp to CR 622 in Toms River Twp. Current travel time is 15-20 minutes.

As of 3:57 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 31 southbound South of CR 546/Washington Crossing Pennington Rd in Hopewell Twp. 1 right lane closed, 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

South Jersey

As of 4:09 p.m., there's a disabled vehicle on I-76 eastbound East of Exit 2 - I-676 in Gloucester City. 1 right lane and shoulder closed, 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 2:26 p.m., there's a utility pole down on the Atlantic City Expressway eastbound exiting at Exit 33 - Winslow in Winslow Twp. All lanes closed on Exit 33 ramp. Move over for emergency workers.

Transit Updates

Morris & Essex Line train #6656, the 5:06 p.m. arrival into PSNY, is up to 15 minutes late due to making additional stops for earlier canceled train #6654.

Main/Bergen/Port Jervis Line train #66, the 5:13 p.m. arrival into Hoboken, is up to 25 minutes late due to a signal issue near Harriman.

North Jersey Coast Line train #3725, the 5:12 p.m. departure from PSNY, is canceled due to mechanical issues. Take train #3867, the 5:25 p.m. departure from PSNY, making an additional stop at Newark International Airport.

Pansack Valley Line train #1632, the 5:09 p.m. arrival into Hoboken, is up to 15 minutes late due to earlier congestion from train #1621.

Northeast Corridor Line train #3949, the 5:03 p.m. departure from PSNY, is canceled due to equipment availability resulting from earlier mechanical issues. Take train #3951, the 5:16 p.m. departure from PSNY.

North Jersey Coast Line train #3511, the 5:05 p.m. departure from PSNY, is canceled due to equipment availability resulting from earlier mechanical issues. Take train #3265, the 5:20 p.m. departure from PSNY, making additional stops.

ACRL train #4631, the 4:24 p.m. arrival into Atlantic City, is up to 20-minutes late due to congestion with train #4630.

All other NJ Transit rail lines are running on or close to schedule.
