NJ Turnpike Crash, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Friday, July 22, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 5:45 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 southbound south of Exit 70AB - NJ 93/Leonia/Teaneck in Ridgefield Park. Left lane blocked.

As of 5:39 a.m., there's a drawbridge open on US 1&9 truck route northbound Hackensack River Drawbridge in Kearny/Jersey City. All lanes closed.

Central Jersey

As of 8:33 a.m., there's a brush fire on the Garden State Parkway northbound exiting at Exit 89A - NJ 70 East in Lakewood. All lanes open to traffic.

As of 6:59 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Exit 127 - US 9/I-287/NJ 440 in Woodbridge. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 4:05 a.m., there's construction on NJ 72 westbound from CR 607/Long Beach Boulevard to Shore Avenue in Ship Bottom. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2022.

As of 4:02 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing Township. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

South Jersey

As of 8:23 a.m., there's a crash and fuel spill on NJ 70 eastbound east of CR 541/Main Street in Medford. 1 right lane closed; 5-10 minute delay.

As of 6:13 a.m., there's roadwork on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound in the vicinity of Interchange 2 - US 322 in Woolwich Township. 1 right lane closed.

As of 6:13 a.m., there's roadwork on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound between south of Interchange 4 - NJ 73 in Mount Laurel and north of Interchange 3 - NJ 168 in Cherry Hill. 1 right lane closed.

Transit Updates

Atlantic City Rail Line service is subject to up to 30-minute delays in both directions due to signal issues near Egg Harbor City.

UPDATE: Newark Light Rail Mainline and Broad Street Extension service has resumed in both directions and is operating on or close to schedule following earlier power issues.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect sunny skies with a high near 94, according to the National Weather Service.
