Popular Snack Cake Recalled In NJ, May Contain Peanut Allergen
Those with an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts will need to check their pantry.

NEW JERSEY— An undeclared peanut ingredient has caused the parent company of Tastykake, a packaged bakery brand sold in New Jersey, to recall some of its products for the safety of those with allergies and sensitivities.
Flowers Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain “Tastykake Chocolate Kandy Kakes” which were also sold to customers in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Certain packages of the Chocolate Kandy Kakes actually contained the Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, said the company in their recall, which was announced by the Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday.
