2 $1M Powerball Tickets Sold In NJ

Two NJ Lottery players matched five balls on Wednesday to win a $1 million prize, according to powerball.com.

NEW JERSEY — Check your tickets — two New Jersey Lottery players cashed in on a piece of Wednesday's massive Powerball jackpot, according to Powerball.

Officials said the lucky tickets were sold in Bergen and Essex Counties.

The winning numbers for Wednesday, July 19 were: 07, 10, 11, 13, and 24 with the Powerball number of 24. The Power Play was 2X. Two NJ Lottery players matched five balls to win a $1 million prize, according to powerball.com.

The winning tickets were sold at Metro Liquor, 100 Broadway, Elmwood Park; and Galaxy Liquors, 410-412 Central Ave., Orange, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

Twelve New Jersey Powerball players matched four of the white balls and the Power Ball, to win a $50,000 prize, according to the NJ Lottery. One Hudson County player purchased the Power Play option, increasing their prize to $100,000. Click here for more information.

The estimated jackpot Wednesday was $1.08 billion. A California player from Los Angeles hit the big prize, lottery officials said.

This was the third-largest Powerball jackpot and the sixth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever won, said Powerball. The jackpot has a cash value of $558.1 million, or the winner may choose to get it in annual payments.

The winning Powerball numbers are drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with Powerball results usually posted within 5 minutes. In New Jersey, the cut-off time for purchase of a ticket is 9:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was $2.04 billion, which was claimed by a single winner in California in November 2022.
