ANCHOR Rebate Incoming, State Offers Filing Help

Property tax relief is now available for New Jerseyans, and the state has organized several events to help residents get their refunds and rebates.

From now until the fall, the state will be working with municipal and county governments to help residents with their property tax relief applications.

Assistance events through the month of July are exclusively for seniors (65+) and residents collecting Social Security disability benefits.

Seniors can now apply for relief via the PAS-1, a combined application that allows users to apply for ANCHOR, Stay NJ, and Senior Freeze in one go. Even if you aren't eligible for all three programs, you can still apply via this application.

Seniors should bring their Social Security Number, address, including County/Municipality Code + Block/Lot, their photo ID, all 2024 & 2025 income documentation (NJ-1040(s), 1099-R(s), and 1099-SSA(s)), and total billed 2024 & 2025 property taxes.
