Days Of Rain In NJ Forecast: See Latest
The Garden State will see periods of light rain into the weekend, but forecasters say it has little to do with Hurricane Helene:
NEW JERSEY — The next few days in the Garden State are expected to be gloomy, with periods of rain, according to the latest forecast. But it has little to do with Hurricane Helene, which some forecasters predict could become a Category 4 storm as it hits Florida.
Some of Helene's moisture will make it to the northeast, but will likely have little impact on New Jersey, according to forecasters with AccuWeather.
AccuWeather predicts this weekend will see "low clouds and spotty drizzle" making gloomy conditions for "parts of New Jersey." Those forecasters say that a large bubble of dry air is limiting rainfall in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Further scattered showers are possible Friday, though not a lot, forecasters say.

"Showers become more scattered to isolated the further north you get from Philadelphia, and some areas of far northern New Jersey could see little to no rainfall at all," the National Weather Service said.
And even with those showers, forecasters only predict a half-inch of rain at most.
As Helene's remnants head west on Saturday, the National Weather Service said "a few showers could develop" in New Jersey.
"Will not be a washout by any means, but more of a cloudy day with some showers around, similar to what we have seen the past few days," forecasters said.
Sunday will also be another gray day, with some showers possible.
