Record High Temps Could Hit NJ On Halloween: Latest Forecast
A hot Halloween seems to be in store for the Garden State, with temperatures rising to near 80 degrees on Oct. 31, forecasters say:
NEW JERSEY — High temperatures and the first rain in over a month is expected to close out the month in the Garden State as a new Halloween forecast has been released.
Halloween 2023 was a chilly one for New Jerseyans. This year, the opposite is expected - as we get closer to Oct. 31, forecasters are predicting a hot day for trick-or-treating, possibly breaking records.
After a frosty start to the week, temperatures will climb until Thursday where they will reach as much as 10 to 15 degrees above normal, the National Weather Service said.

As of Monday, temperatures are forecast to be right around 80 degrees on Halloween, "which would be in at least spitting distance of a few records," according to the National Weather Service.
This may not last into the evening, especially as the sun goes down. A cold front will approach the area from the west.

"As you get into the evening hours and the sun dips down, the breeze and temperature fall will make it feel a little cool, even with temperatures being above the historical average," AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said - so layering under costumes might be a good idea.
This cold front brings with it the chance for rain, though not much, and it primarily would be in northwest New Jersey.
After that, temperatures will cool back down as we head into November, and return to dry conditions.
