Road Work, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Friday, June 24, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 8:17 a.m., there are pothole repairs on the NJ Turnpike - Western Spur southbound south of Interchange 16W - NJ 3 in East Rutherford. 1 left lane closed.

As of 6:34 a.m., there's a disabled tractor trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound entrance ramp Interchange 14 - I-78/US 1& 9 in Newark. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 5 a.m., there's construction on the I-78 in both directions east of Exit 3 - NJ 173/US 22 in Greenwich Township. All lanes open westbound until 7 a.m.

As of 5 a.m., there's construction on NJ 15 in both directions between I-80 in Rockaway Township and CR 634/North Main Street in Wharton. 1 left lane closed for repairs until 1 p.m.

As of 4:59 a.m., there's construction on the George Washington Bridge upper level westbound ramp to Palisades Interstate Parkway in Fort Lee. 1 right lane closed until 1:30 p.m.

Central Jersey

As of 5:15 a.m., there's an unanticipated construction delay on US 1 northbound from south of Meadow Road to north of Alexander Road in West Windsor Township. 2 left lanes closed until 7 a.m.

As of midnight, there's a sinkhole on I-287 local lanes northbound ramp to eastbound Exit 21 - I-78 in Bedminster Township. All lanes closed and detoured (Exit 21A is closed).

South Jersey

As of 8:27 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound south of Exit 4B - NJ 47 North in Middle Township. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 6 a.m., there's construction on US 206 in both directions in the vicinity of US 30 in Hammonton. Right shoulder closed until 6 a.m.

Transit Updates

Pascack Valley train #1618, the 7:48 a.m. from Spring Valley is cancelled due to equipment availability. Please take train #1620, the 8:03 a.m. from Spring Valley making additional stops.

Pascack Valley Line rail service track rehabilitation work ends June 24. Weekday buses will no longer replace trains between Spring Valley and Secaucus starting Monday, June 27, 2022.

All NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect patchy fog before 9 a.m., the National Weather Service said. Otherwise, Friday will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 82.
