Road Work, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Tuesday, July 5, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 6:29 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the Pulaski Skyway southbound area of Broadway in Jersey City. 1 right lane closed.

As of 6:25 a.m., there are delays at the Holland Tunnel south tunnel eastbound from New Jersey side in Jersey City to New York side in Manhattan. All lanes open. The travel time to the New York side is 20 minutes from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14C and 20 minutes from New Jersey 139 at Tonnelle Circle.

As of 1:34 a.m., there's long term road construction on the New Jersey Turnpike - Eastern Spur northbound entrance ramp from NJ 495 westbound outside toll plaza in Secaucus. 1 right lane closed for repairs until further notice.

Central Jersey

As of 7:04 a.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound exiting at Exit 130B-A-US 1 in Woodbridge due to volume.

As of 7:03 a.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from south of Exit 89C - Lakewood/Airport Road in Lakewood Township to north of Exit 90 - CR 549/Chambers Bridge Road in Brick Township. 2-mile delay due to volume.

As of 4:02 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing Township. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

South Jersey

As of 7:27 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on I-295 southbound Exit 36 - NJ 73 in Mount Laurel Township. Left shoulder closed 5-10 minute delay.

As of 6:39 a.m., there are delays on N J55 northbound from Exit 58 - Deptford Center Road to south of NJ 42 in Deptford. All lanes open; delays due to volume.

As of 4:11 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 70 in both directions between Cropwell Road in Evesham Township and CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on July 15.

Transit Updates

Morris and Essex train #404, the 5:41 a.m. departure from Gladstone, is cancelled due to mechanical issues.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 87.
