'Roller-Coaster Ride' Forecast Says Rain, Sleet In Store For NJ
A brief warmup Tuesday will be followed by another round of rain and then the chance of some snow and ice, forecasters say.
NEW JERSEY — A "roller-coaster ride of a forecast" is in store for New Jersey this week as temperatures will warm Tuesday before a pair of storms arrive bringing rain, sleet and the potential for snow, according to the latest forecast.
"A roller-coaster ride of a forecast is in store across the Northeast this week, featuring a wintry mix, rain, a warmup and then the potential for an impactful storm late in the week into the weekend that can feature accumulating snow and very chilly air settling in," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Brandon Buckingham.
Tuesday will be the mildest day with temperatures rising to the 60s, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday starts off dry, but rain will move into the area later. Areas northwest of Philadelphia will see rounds of rain beginning in the afternoon, while parts southeast may not see rain until Wednesday night, National Weather Service forecasters said.
Thursday will also be dry, but a clipper system will move through Friday. This brings with it the chance for some snow or wintry mix across New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. However, forecasters say that "there does not look to be any significant impacts to the area at this time."
