Sinkhole Closes Parkway Ramps, Rainy Forecast: Patch PM Traffic Digest

NEW JERSEY — Good afternoon, New Jersey! Here's what you need to know before you leave for the Tuesday evening commute.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 4:52 p.m., there's a disabled truck on I-78 eastbound Exit 43 - CR 655/Diamond Hill Rd in Berkeley Heights Twp. 1 left lane closed, 10-minute delay.

Port Authority NY/NJ: Disabled vehicle on George Washington Bridge Upper Level eastbound Mid-Span (Manhattan) 1 right lane of 4 lanes closed.

As of 4:25 p.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from North of Exit 142 - I-78 in Hillside Twp to Exit 145 - I-280 in East Orange. All lanes, 4-mile delay, due to volume.

As of 4:24 p.m., there are delays on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway southbound from North of Interchange 13A - Newark Liberty International Airport/US 1&9 in Elizabeth to South of Interchange 13 - I-278/Goethals Bridge in Linden. All lanes open, 3-mile delay, due to volume.

Central Jersey

As of 4:46 p.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound Garden State Parkway - Judy Blume Service Area in Wall Twp. Left shoulder blocked.

As of 4:30 p.m., there's a sinkhole on the Garden State Parkway northbound entering at Exit 105 - NJ 36 in Tinton Falls all entrance ramps to Parkway north closed and traffic is detoured until further notice. Use alternate routes.

As of 4:15 p.m., there's a crash on US 9 southbound South of NJ 79/Schank Rd in Freehold Twp. 1 right lane closed 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:05 p.m., there's a crash on US 130 northbound North of NJ 33 in Robbinsville. 1 right lane closed 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

South Jersey

As of 4:31 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 38 westbound Rudderow Av/Cutler Av in Maple Shade Twp. 1 left lane closed 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:06 p.m., there are delays on NJ 55 northbound from Exit 58 - Deptford Center Rd to South of NJ 42 in Deptford Twp current travel time is 5-10 minutes.

As of 3:58pm, there are delays on I-295 southbound from Exit 29 - US 30 in Barrington to Exit 26N - I-76/I-676 in Bellmawr current travel time is 10-15 minutes.

Transit Updates
