Snow In Weekend Forecast For NJ: See How Much, Timeline
A wintry mix accumulating over the Midwest will begin moving east, with snow possible in parts of NJ late Friday and Saturday.

NEW JERSEY — Weather experts are tracking another winter storm set to shower snow across part of New Jersey as the weekend begins, which may affect some college students heading home for spring break.
And, another storm next week could hug the Atlantic coast, again bringing some snow to the Garden State.
First up, what to expect this weekend: A wintry mix accumulating over the Upper Midwest late this week will begin moving east, with snow possible in parts of NJ late Friday and into Saturday.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly says the “best chance” for accumulating snow will be from the I-78 corridor north, especially over northwest NJ. Two to four inches of snow are possible in the higher elevations of northwest New Jersey on Friday night and into Saturday which could create travel delays, said the NWS.
“Snowfall of a few inches is most likely to be over the central Appalachians to areas north and west of New York City and Philadelphia,” added AccuWeather.

“It is possible for accumulating snow to reach all the way to coastal areas of New Jersey, New York and southern New England,” said AccuWeather Meteorologist Joseph Bauer.
The rest of the state will have rain moving in after 8 p.m. and continuing into Saturday, the forecast shows.
South Jersey is likely to remain snow-free, and has not seen more than an inch of snow since last January according to the NWS.
Dry weather will return in the Eastern United States early next week, but snow is again possible on Monday and Tuesday — however, it is too soon to say what this will mean for the snow forecast in Jersey.
“For the potential early next week system (Monday-Tuesday), uncertainty remains high,” said the NWS.
