Snow In Wednesday Forecast For NJ: See Storm Timeline
Snow could peak at an inch per hour in portions of the state, according to the National Weather Service. Here's the latest.

NEW JERSEY — Wednesday's forecast shows heavy winds and widespread precipitation throughout New Jersey. And for some of the state, that may mean intense snowfall, ice accumulation and difficult commutes.
The National Weather Service expects precipitation from the morning into the evening. Snow will likely fall throughout North Jersey and the western portion of the state.
The Jersey Shore will have different concerns, with gusts up to 50 mph Wednesday evening and coastal flooding possible during the nighttime high-tide cycle, officials predict.

Areas northwest of Interstate 95 have the highest snowfall projections, with the National Weather Service anticipating 3-4 inches in the Sussex County area. Officials expect 1-3 inches in Warren and Morris Counties, but all three counties could get an inch of snow per hour early in the day.
Accumulating snow could impact the morning and evening commutes northwest of I-95, forecasters said. Before traveling, check AccuWeather's New Jersey radar for local conditions.

The National Weather Service issued the following winter-weather advisories:
- Sussex County: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The storm will begin with a burst of snow early in the day, with snow continuing into the afternoon. Then forecasters expect a late-afternoon or early-evening shift to a wintry mix before plain rain Wednesday evening.
- Warren and Morris Counties: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The snowfall will have a similar timeline as Sussex County's, with snow continuing into the early afternoon. Then it will change briefly into a wintry mix and then to plain rain by early evening.
- Western Passaic County: 7 a.m. to midnight Wednesday night. Forecasters expect mixed precipitation and 2-5 inches of snow. Plan on slippery road conditions that could impact the morning and evening commutes.
Snowfall impacts near and southeast of the Interstate-95 corridor remain unlikely, as surface temperatures remain too warm for substantial accumulation on roadways, the National Weather Service says.
Coastline gusts up to 50 mph are possible Wednesday night, coinciding with the flooding expected during high tide. The rest of the state could get gusts of 30-35 mph that night, the National Weather Service says.

Breezy conditions throughout the state will continue Thursday.
