Another Round Of Storms In Weekend Forecast For NJ
Warmth and humidity will rise over the next few days, and severe storms on the horizon could put a damper on weekend plans.
NEW JERSEY — You may have woken up to beautiful weather Friday morning, but don't expect it to last, according to the latest forecast. The weekend will only grow in terms of warmth and humidity, and storms are likely both days.
Forecasters say that the region will experience a cycle of cooler weather for two days or so, and then hot and humid for two days. In the transition period, expect plenty of showers and thunderstorms. This is what NJ has in store for this weekend.
"People may go to sleep with the windows open Friday night then wake up Saturday morning and notice that the air has turned muggy from New York City on south and west," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek said. "Warmth and humidity will quickly build across the region on Saturday."

"Much of the daytime Saturday looks to be rain-free," National Weather Service forecasters said. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper-80s, and humidity will rise.
There may be a few late-day showers and storms, which will increase at night, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and thunder may start off Sunday, but this should stop for some time and the day will partially be hot, humid and sunny, the National Weather Service said. Highs will be in the upper-80s to low-90s.
Additional showers and storms are forecast to develop, and some locally may be severe, especially in the afternoon and evening.
It will dry out Sunday night, forecasters say, and come Monday, NJ will be cooler and less humid again.
