Weekend Thunderstorms, Dense Fog In NJ: See Timeline
Thunderstorms, scattered rain showers and heavy fog are in the forecast for NJ this weekend. Here's the latest.
NEW JERSEY - Scattered rain showers are in the forecast for New Jersey on Friday, with dense fog and thunderstorms expected to linger through the weekend.
Commuters in the Garden State are in store for hefty morning fog, which is expected to clear by late morning or early afternoon, though low clouds will persist for much of the day, the National Weather Service said. A dense fog advisory has been issued until 8 a.m. for all marine areas and the immediate coastal areas hugging the Jersey Shore and Delaware River.
“Use caution if you're driving near the coast this morning. The fog is quite dense! Slow down and use low beam headlights if you encounter low visibility,” the agency said in a tweet on Friday.

Visibility will be one quarter mile or less in dense fog, paving the way for hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
“If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you,” the agency said.
