White Castle's Valentine's Day Dinner Is Back: How To Reserve Your Spot In NJ
Cravers (and lovers) rejoice! A Valentine's tradition up there with love itself will make a return.
NEW JERSEY — The COVID-19 pandemic prompted tons of event cancelations, modified gatherings and significant personal sacrifices over the last few years. But one holiday tradition will return following a three-year absence: White Castle's Valentine's Day dinner.
Each year on Valentine's Day, the burger chain transforms into a "fine dining establishment," complete with host seating, tableside service and festive décor.
Keep in mind, White Castle isn't just any restaurant — at least not during the holiday. Reservations for the Valentine's dinner are required, and White Castle says they fill quickly. Those hoping to enjoy the festive feast can reserve a spot through OpenTable. New Jersey has several participating "castles."

The event runs from 4-9 p.m. Feb. 14.
This marks the 32nd year in which White Castle will observe Valentine's Day — last doing so in 2020, weeks before COVID closures began. The holiday tradition has attracted more than 30,000 "cravers," according to the burger chain.

"It's an opportunity to gather with those we love and savor the flavor of all the Castle has to offer, all in a festive atmosphere with affordable prices that won't bust anyone's budget," said Jamie Richardson, White Castle's vice president. "This is what feeding the souls is all about, and we're excited that the tradition we have loved and missed is back."
The menu will feature Valentine's exclusives, including the Love Cube. Inspired by pandemic constraints last year, the meal for two features eight cheese sliders, two sharable sides and two small soft drinks. Patrons can order it for carry-out, as well.
The Sprite Love Potion — a new Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage — will become available only on Feb. 14. The beverage combines lemon-lime, a pop of cherry and a "kiss" of smooth, creamy vanilla.
Lovers can also check out White Castle's Valentine's merchandise, including the Love Castle Robe.
Known for its small, square sliders, White Castle has more than 350 locations across 13 states, including about 25 in New Jersey.
