Widespread Sub-Freeze Warning, Snow Squalls Could Blast NJ
It may be November but the weather is going to feel more like December, the National Weather Service warns.
NEW JERSEY — Widespread sub-freezing temperatures, frost, and a possibility of a snow squall will blast the New Jersey area as we kick off November.
"The calendar now says November, but it's going to feel like December!" wrote US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly(NWS).
While highs are only expected to hit around 50 degrees on Wednesday, a northwest breeze will make it feel colder.

Additionally, the NWS is forecasting a widespread freeze for Wednesday night with lows in the mid-20s to near 30s.

"Widespread sub-freezing temperatures and frost development tonight will likely end the growing season for our region. Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories are in effect. Remember to protect your pets from the cold and bring any sensitive plants indoors," wrote NWS.

As if those chilly temps aren't bad enough, AccuWeather meteorologists are warning that a blast of air more typical of early December will follow a storm that is "notorious for triggering snow flurries, lake-effect snow and sudden snow squalls" which will spread across the Upper Midwest to the lower Great Lakes and interior Northeast through midweek.
"In most cases, the flurries and snow showers will merely bring a reminder of the season just ahead. However, some of the heavier snow showers, known as snow squalls, could pose a serious problem for motorists, especially when the snow hits during times of heavy traffic and brings a sudden drop in visibility," according to Accuweather.
