A traditional Chinese New Year cultural celebration honoring the Year of the Horse will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the historic Rutherfurd Hall in Allamuchy, New Jersey.
The event is hosted by Mei Jin Lu, PhD, a direct descendant of the Taoist master Lu Dongbin and the 25th-generation lineage holder of the Quanzhen Taoist sect. Her role as host brings rare cultural authenticity, lineage continuity, and ceremonial depth to the celebration.
This immersive gathering integrates traditional ceremony, cultural education, astrology, meditation, and a symbolic nine-course Lunar New Year feast, with each element designed to reflect Taoist principles of harmony, renewal, prosperity, and balance.
Set within the preserved grandeur of Rutherfurd Hall, the event creates a meaningful intersection between ancient Chinese tradition and New Jersey’s historic heritage.
