2 Asbury Park Teens, 14, Found With Guns

ASBURY PARK, NJ — An anonymous tip led Asbury Park Police to arrest two juveniles who were in possession of handguns Monday afternoon.
The guns the teens had were seized by police and they are pictured above.
After getting the anonymous tip, police responded to the area of the 300 block of Prospect Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed and made contact with a group of individuals matching the description provided.

Two fourteen-year-old juveniles, both of which were in possession of handguns, were arrested. One was identified as an Asbury Park resident, the other from Lakewood.
Both were charged with illegal weapons possession, possession of a defaced firearm and possession of prohibited ammunition. They were transported to the Youth Detention Center awaiting a detention hearing.
