Big Lottery Winner In Asbury Park Area

There are now two big lottery winners at the Jersey Shore.

One New Jersey Lottery Powerball ticket was sold that matched five of the five white balls drawn for the Saturday drawing, winning the $1 million second-tier prize.

The winning ticket from Saturday night’s Powerball drawing was sold at Friendly Deli, 151 New Jersey Ave., Absecon in Atlantic County. The winning numbers for the Saturday drawing were: 09, 45, 57, 58 and 65. The Red Power Ball number was 09. The Multiplier number was 02.

The Powerball jackpot rolls to $151 million for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, June 20 at 10:59 pm.

One lucky ticket also matched all five numbers drawn, winning the $68,763 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Monday, June 18 drawing.

The winning numbers were: 01, 17, 25, 37 and 43 and the XTRA number was: 04. The retailer that sold the winning ticket is Cobblestone Wine & Spirits, 855 West Park Ave., Ocean Township in Monmouth County.

In addition to the second-tier Powerball prizewinning ticket sold, there were 28,232 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $139,673 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director John M. White.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said White. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
