• Baby Laptime Brings Songs, Smiles and Storytime to Asbury Park's Youngest Readers (tapinto.net) — Families with babies and toddlers in Asbury Park can drop into the public library every Monday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. for a free, no-registration Baby Laptime session. Little ones ages 0–2 enjoy songs, rhymes, and playful early-literacy activities, while caregivers meet other local parents and get out of the house. Sessions are held at 500 First Avenue, with questions directed to Ms. Kat.
   

• Bruce Springsteen talks Jersey Shore summer fun on Boss radio (app.com) — Bruce Springsteen spent nearly two hours on 107.1-FM's "Springsteen on Sunday," reminiscing about Jersey Shore summers and the role Asbury Park has played in his music and life. He recalled writing "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)," playing Sea Hear Now on the Asbury beach, and urged that prosperity reach the city's West Side without losing its character.
