Asbury Park To Hold Public Meeting On North End Boardwalk Project

The Asbury Park Council has announced the next step in the public comment period.

The Asbury Park Council has announced the next step in the public comment period concerning the North End Boardwalk Project – a charrette-style meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 15th from 7-9 p.m. at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School.

Attendees will walk around to different stations where they will be presented with draft design options for the North End Boardwalk area and will have the opportunity to provide immediate feedback on the designs.

The draft designs are based on ideas collected from concerned residents, visitors and businesses over a comment period that took place from December 7-23, 2018, as well as from the November 7, 2018 Council Meeting. Following the public meeting, there will be a public presentation of the final draft design on a future date still to be determined.

“The charrette-style meeting was proven to be a highly successful way to integrate public feedback during the CHOICE Neighborhood public meeting.” said Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, “We’re using this format for the next step of the North End Boardwalk project because public opinion is incredibly important to the outcome.”
