New Jersey American Water has issued a precautionary "Boil Water Advisory" for customers within a small section of Neptune Township and Asbury Park.
There has been a temporary pressure loss in the drinking water system that resulted from a construction project, the company said.
While the required sampling will be conducted in the local distribution system, residents will need to boil water before consumption.

Please note that this is a standard precaution that is taken whenever there is loss of pressure in water mains.
There is no evidence of any contamination.
