Boston Marathon 2022: Who In Asbury Park Is Racing, How To Track Them
The Boston Marathon returns April 18, and one Asbury Park resident will be among the 30,000 participants.
ASBURY PARK, NJ — Thirty-thousand participants will cross the starting line April 18 at the 2022 Boston Marathon. One of them is an Asbury Park resident.
For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon will take place on Patriots' Day — a Massachusetts holiday commemorating the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War. The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.

- Follow along on the B.A.A. website, which will change April 18 to allow people to track runners on race day.
- Sign up for AT&T text alerts, which will text you when your favorite athlete reaches certain race milestones and crosses the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.
