Bruce Springsteen Appears At Asbury Park Music And Film Festival

Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at the "Bruce Springsteen Archives" portion of the the Asbury Park Music and Film Festival on Saturday.

Springsteen and filmmaker Thom Zimny took questions from Christopher Phillips of Backstreets after a showing of rare footage of Springsteen and the E Street Band, according to The Asbury Park Press.

Chris Spiegel, a photographer, said on Facebook that he was backstage watching the Bruce Springsteen Archives premiere at Paramount Theater during the Asbury Park Music And Film Festival when Bruce walked up.

He stopped 5 feet away from him and "started watching himself perform 'Sandy' in 1974," Spiegel said.

"He had never seen the footage before apparently," Spiegel said. "He then went out on stage and surprised the packed audience to discuss the film. Totally surreal moment."
