Car Part Thefts Reported In Asbury Park: Police
Asbury Park authorities have received multiple reports of car part thefts last week, prompting a citywide warning.
ASBURY PARK, NJ - Local authorities are warning residents to be on the lookout following multiple reports of car part thefts over the last week.
In a Friday alert via Nixle, the Asbury Park Police Department noted that multiple reports have been filed of catalytic converter thefts from motor vehicles over the past week.
“The reported incidents occurred during overnight hours,” police said.

“It appears that some type of cutting tool was utilized to cut the pipes leading to and from the converters,” the alert reads. “This type of crime appears to be presently occurring throughout the state.”
