DWI Checkpoint In Monmouth County: Here's Where It Will Be

The summer season is fast approaching, and police are already working to make sure the roads are safe.

The summer season is fast approaching, and police are already working to make sure the roads are safe.

The Monmouth County DWI Task force will conduct a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.

The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday on Route 33 in Neptune Township.

Task force members and officers from the Neptune Police Department will pull vehicles over and check each driver's sobriety, police said.

The police will pull drivers from the westbound lanes into the Jumping Brook Plaza parking lot, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, task force coordinator.
