Expect Discolored Water In Jersey Shore Area

Expect discolored water in the Point Pleasant Beach sometime soon.

The Point Pleasant Beach Water Department will be conducting a flushing of its distribution system within the next couple weeks.

This is part of the town's continuing effort to deliver the "best quality water possible," according to Point Pleasant Beach officials.

You may experience temporary low pressure or discoloration during the flushing period. "We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation," officials said.

The flushing will happen on Monday, Oct. 15 through Friday, Nov. 9.
