The 3-year-old girl was burned by water so hot at a New Jersey Wawa that it looked she was "napalmed," her family's attorney says (see video below).
Now the family is taking the Wawa on Route 66 in Neptune to task for having water for tea that shouldn't have been anywhere near that hot, attorney David Mazie told Patch.
Carl and Roya Konzman of Virginia have filed a federal lawsuit Wawa, saying that the water was way too dangerous for exposure and that their daughter, identified as "N.K.," was seriously injured.

"The skin was literally falling off her," Mazie told Patch.
Mazie claims the water temperature at the store was 180 degrees. He said shower water is 104 degrees.

Wawa released this statement following statement: "Although we can't comment on the specifics of the allegations in the lawsuit, we can say that we are devastated by this unfortunate accident, and our hearts go out to the child and her family."
The incident happened on April 25, Mazie said, when the couple were paying for food items and a clerk knocked over a water bottle.
The bottle then knocked over cups of hot water, causing at least on to splash on the child's upper body, arms and torso, according to the lawsuit.
"Despite being aware of this serious danger, Wawa kept the water at such a dangerously high temperature and acted recklessly and with wanton and disregard for the safety of its patrons, including N.K.," according to the lawsuit.
The girl was taken by ambulance to a Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Mazie said it was too foggy for a helicopter to fly, so the girl couldn't be airlifted.
Mazie said the girl spent time in the hospital and suffered second and third-degree burns. He said the girl continues to suffer lingering effects from the incidents, and could require additional medical attention.
The couple is seeking more than $150,000 in damages.
