One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway on Monday, police said. John Coombs, 82, of Turner, Maine was identified as the fatal victim the crash that happened around 12:40 a.m. in Tinton Falls, police said.Coombs's Nissan Versa overturned into the grass median between the local and express lanes, and he was ejected, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.The crash happened in the southbound express lanes at milepost 107.3, police said. This was the second death reported on a roadway in Monmouth County in two days. An active manhunt is underway for a possible shooter in a Route crash.
