There was a homicide Monday on Drummond Ave. in Neptune Township:
NEPTUNE, NJ — There was a homicide Monday in Neptune Township, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor confirmed.
The shooting occurred on Drummond Ave.
News 12 New Jersey is reporting a man was fatally shot and they identified him by name, citing anonymous sources. They say he was visiting a friend when the gunfire erupted.

In a separate incident, a 41-year-old Oceanport man was fatally shot Friday night on Gosselin Avenue, in the Fort Monmouth area of Oceanport. The shootings do not appear at this time to be connected.
