Fire Evacuates Daycare In Asbury Park: Officials

ASBURY PARK – A fire in Asbury Park led to a daycare center evacuation on Wednesday, firefighters say.

None of the children were hurt but a firefighter was injured after a blaze at the 2 For Care daycare center at 619 Bangs Ave., firefighters say.

Sheila Etienne told The Asbury Park Press there were 27 children in the day care when they were evacuated. She said she was inside with the children around noon when she smelled something.
