Hey Asbury Park, NJ Towns: Beach Badge Now Available Via An App

Now you can scan your beach badge like E-Z Pass.

You can now purchase and reserve your badges and parking passes via the Viply app and then pick up at your town's beach office.

Simply scan-in and get your physical badges and/or parking passes. Sixteen towns at the Jersey Shore have it available.

Asbury Park has had certain rules and dates for when these passes can be picked up. You can find out more here and here.

"You can think of this as an E-ZPass to get onto the beach," John Masterson, a Manasquan native who developed the app, told NJ Advance Media.

The free Viply app was launched for consumer use in 2017, starting with an initial group of four shore communities including Manasquan, Sea Isle City, Ventnor and Longport, according to NJ Advance Media.
