How Much Violence, Bullying in Asbury Park Area Districts?
Don't think you're immune: 500 school districts reported bullying and violence. Don't be surprised to see where your school district ranks.

Don't think that moving to Ocean or Monmouth counties will free you from the violence and bullying that's plagued other districts.
School districts in the Point Pleasant, Manasquan, Belmar and Manasquan area – from the impoverished to the bucolic – found themselves on the state Department of Education's 2018 list of public schools with bullying and violent episodes.
The figures, compiled annually from data received from school districts across the state, were recently released by the Department of Education as part of its 2016-17 district performance reports.

Here are those districts with their rate violence, vandalism, weapons, substance abuse and bullying incidents per 100 students, and where they ranked statewide (out of nearly 600 school districts):

- #339 BELMAR, MONMOUTH 1.11
- #402 POINT PLEASANT BORO, OCEAN 0.89
- #444 BAY HEAD, OCEAN 0.76
- #505 POINT PLEASANT BEACH BORO, OCEAN 0.52
