ASBURY PARK, NJ - Authorities are seeing the public's help in locating a missing 12-year-old Asbury Park girl.

Tamayla M. Johnson was reported missing by her mother on Monday at 11 a.m., Asbury Park police said in a statement. She was last seen at around 6 a.m. inside an apartment on Atlantic Avenue.

Johnson is 5 foot 6 inches and 210 pounds. She was last wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt with "thrasher" written across the front, black sweatpants and flip flops. She has a scar on her upper tricep area from a dog bite, authorities said.
