New Rainbow Crosswalk In Asbury Park

Asbury Park is determined to show inclusion, the mayor says. So the city found a way to do it so everybody can see.
As a way to pay homage to the LGBTQ community, Asbury Park now has a new rainbow crosswalk.
The crosswalk is on Asbury Avenue in front of the Empress Hotel.

The crosswalk will serve "as a daily reminder to treat all people with respect," said Mayor John Moor.
The Garden State Equality Walk will take place on Saturday, so many people will get to see it.

“The city of Asbury Park is committed to inclusion,” said Moor. “And in a time where there seems to be a lot of division and hate, we hope that the new rainbow crosswalk will serve as a daily reminder to treat all people with respect."
