The former site of Skratch restaurant is proposed to be converted into a ground-floor pizza parlor with a two-floor office facility.
ASBURY PARK, NJ - A two-story masonry property on Mattison Avenue in Asbury Park is slated to be converted into a commercial space and office facility, according to planning board documents.
649 Mattison Avenue, originally constructed as a bank in the early 1900s and most recently serving as the bar/restaurant Skratch, will be converted into a ground-floor pizza parlor with a two-floor office facility above with seven suites.
Sackman Enterprises has acquired the 8,600-square-foot property and is renovating the basement, first and second floors. The developer is currently seeking site plan approval to build one more floor (2,000 square feet) consisting of 13 office suites.
