'Plunge For Recovery' In Asbury Park This Weekend

Daytop New Jersey will be hosting its first annual Plunge for Recovery this Saturday. Here's what's happening.

ASBURY PARK – Daytop New Jersey is hosting its first annual Plunge For Recovery this weekend to raise funds for the organization while destigmatizing those in need of treatment for substance use disorders.

The event will be this Saturday at 4th Avenue Beach in Asbury Park,

Registration is at 10 a.m. and Opening Ceremonies are at 1 p.m. on 4th Avenue Beach’s Boardwalk outside Convention Hall.

Participants or supporters can sign up online at www.daytopnj.org under "Events" or on event day starting at 10 a.m. at Convention Hall.

WHO: All are invited to participate in Daytop New Jersey’s First Annual Plunge For Recovery to raise funds and awareness for substance use disease.

WHAT: All who pre-register online or register day-off with a minimum $100 donation will be admitted onto the beach to participate in The Plunge For Recovery.

Daytop New Jersey provides a continuum of services throughout the state, which includes residential and outpatient treatment for adolescents and young adults, outpatient treatment for adults, a recovery-based day school for students in grades 7-12, and a halfway house for adult women.

• Morris Outpatient in Morris Plains, Hunterdon outpatient in Flemington, Salem outpatient in Pittsgrove and Ocean outpatient in Manahawkin: Intensive In-Community counseling in Morris County.
