“Due to the popularity and expense of the Asbury Park Summer Recreation Program in 2015, we unfortunately had to turn away 50 children from camp,” said Mayor John Moor in a statement. “I knew I had to do whatever it took to make sure that never happened again, and the next year, the Mayor’s Rodeo for Recreation fundraiser was born. We’re incredibly grateful to the community and our sponsors for their generous support of this incredible program. Thanks to them, I’m proud to say we’ve never had to turn anyone away since.”

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the event is required for entry. To purchase tickets, visit www.cityofasburypark.com/tickets.
