Teen Killed In Double-Fatal Shooting At Jersey Shore: Authorities

Two people, including a teenager, were found fatally shot inside a parked car on the street. An investigation is underway.

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two people, including a teenager, were fatally shot Wednesday night in Neptune, authorities said. An investigation is underway.

Eighteen-year-old Samore Edwards of Plainfield, in Union County, was identified as one of the victims. A male victim has yet to be identified, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Around 8:15 p.m., Neptune Township Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting near the 1300 block of Washington Avenue, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Officers found the two victims in a parked vehicle. Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
