Tree, Menorah Lightings In Asbury Park: Your 2021 Holiday Guide

Here are some local events and activities around Asbury Park to help you get into the holiday spirit.

ASBURY PARK, NJ - While some early birds are known to put up wintery decorations well before Halloween, Thanksgiving is generally considered the unofficial start of the holiday season.

And with the newfound cold weather at the Jersey Shore, residents are eager to get into the holiday spirit with festive activities for the whole family. Here are some of the tree and menorah lighting events happening in December in the Asbury Park area, per the Asbury Park recreation office:

  • Dec. 1: The Asbury Park Menorah Lighting - 6 p.m. in Kennedy Park (intersection of Cookman Ave and Grand Ave).
  • Dec. 3: Fireman’s Park Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. - Main Street & Sunset Avenue.
  • Dec. 4: The Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting with activities starting at 5:30 p.m. (Intersection of Cookman Ave & Mattison Avenue).
  • Dec. 11: Springwood Park Tree Lighting/Kwanzaa at 5 p.m. (Springwood Park on Springwood Avenue)
