Woman Killed As She Walked On Highway In Asbury Park Area: MCPO
A 59-year old woman died after she was struck in a motor vehicle crash early Sunday, authorities said.

A 59-year-old woman was killed this weekend while she was walking on a highway, authorities said.
Sonia Naranjo died after she was struck in a motor vehicle crash at approximately 12:02 a.m. Sunday in Neptune Township, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
The Neptune Township woman was walking in the area of Route 35, just north of Brockton Avenue, when she was struck in the southbound lane by a 2016 Chevrolet Cruse driven by Patrick Howe, 29, of Bradley Beach.

The victim was pronounced dead at 12:42 am.
The driver was the sole occupant of his vehicle and he was unharmed.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and Neptune Township Police Department.
